100-bed cancer hospital to open in Navsari

The hospital will be operational by 2022

A 100-bed cancer hospital will be launched in Navsari in the southern part of Gujarat. The facility was inaugurated by Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani. The Nirali Cancer Hospital is founded by Larsen and Toubro Group Chairman AM Naik in his capacity and will provide comprehensive and affordable treatment, a release said. 

The operations for the hospital will be run by Apollo CBCC Cancer Care. The hospital will be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and manned by experienced doctors. The eight-acre healthcare complex has residential facilities for doctors, staff and accommodation for nurses, a utility block, a services building, a liquid oxygen tank yard and parking space.

Operations will cover oncology, diagnostics, nuclear medicine, radiology, and other services such as pain management, physiotherapy, etc.

Rupani praised Naik and said the new facility would give a boost to health care in Navsari and surrounding areas.

“We have a dream to make Gujarat the best in the world in health care. In our new health policy, we have given incentives for establishing hospitals in remote areas,” Rupani said.
