Kalpavriksha 2024, the 17th edition of the two-day postgraduate continuing medical education (CME) programme for ophthalmology students, organised annually by Dr Agarwals Eye Hospital and Eye Research Centre, the research and educational wing of the hospital, was recently held in Chennai. The event saw the participation of about 30 renowned faculty and over 250 students from across the country.
Rajesh Lakhani, Chairman, Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, inaugurated the CME, in the presence of Prof Athiya Agarwal, Director, Dr Agarwals Group of Eye Hospital, and organising secretaries: Dr Soundari S, Dr Dhivya Ashok Kumar, and Dr Preethi Naveen from Dr Agarwals Eye Hospital.
The programme had expert talks in exam-related topics in ophthalmology, a wet lab session on day one and a quiz programme on day two. Registered PGs can present exam cases, and the best presented clinical case will be awarded Dr T Agarwal Award for Best Case Presentation.
