500 DIAGNOSTIC CENTRES ON CARDS IN U.P. FOR EFFICIENT HEALTH SERVICES: SIDHARTH NATH SINGH

New Delhi, 13th September 2019: The Government of Uttar Pradesh will ensure Universal Health Care for all its people by 2021 as per its commitment and set up close to 500 diagnostic centre across the State with the mode of public-private partnership so that the masses get the required health services and healthcare well within the time, according to former Health Minister of the State, Mr. Sidharth Nath Singh who now holds the portfolios of Minister for MSME & NRI, Investment Promotion.

Addressing Indo-American Chamber of Commerce-North India Council (IACC-NIC) 15th Indo-US Economic Summit, Mr. Sidharth Nath Singh informed that encouraging responses have already followed to set up the proposed diagnostic centres from leading hospitals in the private sector and a well established system is in place to implement setting up of the centres.

These centres basically aimed at providing necessary and essential health services to the people of the State with an effective pricing mechanism in place in which the weaker and vulnerable would obtain health services with virtually no discrimination.

Replying to a query relating to ambulance services, the Minister pointed out that the government of the day has been adding on the capacities of ambulances on its existing fleet so that the needies do not suffer on account of non-availabilities of ambulances.

The State will also be able to set up another 13 medical colleges in the entire state so that adequate numbers of doctors are produced to provide for health services.  On the investment climate of the State, the Minister alluded saying that with new government in place, inflow of  investment to set up industries will pick up as protracted efforts are on in this direction with conducive investment policies  being framed.
