AACIO confers Special Award to Delhi-based doctor

He has been honoured for his outstanding contribution of publishing ten textbooks on various aspects of cardiology in over ten years

The American Association of Cardiologists of Indian Origin (AACIO) has honoured Dr HK Chopra for his outstanding contribution of publishing ten textbooks on various aspects of cardiology in over ten years. Dr Chopra has made India proud by achieving this feat of eminence by his hard work, passion for serving humanity and scholastic aptitude. 

Dr Chopra is a Senior Consultant Cardiologist, Medanta Moolchand Heart Institute, Moolchand Medicity, Indian Chairman, World Wellness Foundation & WHA, Country Head, AHA, National President, Cardiological Society of India (CSI) & Indian Academy of Echocardiography (IAE) and chief editor of the top ten textbooks on cardiology. 

The textbooks on cardiology written by Dr Chopra in over a decade are – Heart Protection (HP), Textbook of Cardiology (Clinical & Historical Perspective), CSI Cardiology Update, STEMI update, Atrial Fibrillation Update, Cardio-diabetes update Advances in Clinical Cardiovascular Imaging Echocardiography & Intervention, Advances & Innovation in Heart Failure, Hypertension: New Frontiers and Advances in Statin Therapy & Beyon

Dr HK Chopra is a seasoned cardiologist who integrates Indian wisdom with modern science. He has contributed to finding methods to improve the overall wellbeing of cardiac patients in clinical and preventive cardiology using echocardiography. His contribution to preventive cardiology is immense. 

On getting honoured with the special award Dr HK Chopra says, “My hard work and passion for serving mankind has paid off. I, being a cardiologist, have been observing for over three decades the problems that come in the treatment of heart diseases as well as the problems that patients encounter. The series of ten books that I have written in over a decade is a noble attempt in the direction of resolving all those issues I have observed over the years, to bring transparency and innovation in the realm of the treatment of cardiology.”
