Implementation of Polyphonic™ Surgery marks a step towards connected, collaborative and surgical care.

AIG Hospitals has announced a collaboration with Johnson & Johnson to implement Polyphonic™ Surgery, the flagship solution within the Polyphonic digital ecosystem for surgery, designed to support secure surgical video recording, review, collaboration, learning and knowledge-sharing across surgical teams.

AIG Hospitals will be among the early centres in not just in India but entire Asia-Pacific to implement such a digital ecosystem for surgical procedures, marking an important step towards the future of surgical intelligence. The platform is designed to bring surgical video, case-based review, team collaboration, learning resources, and structured feedback into one centralized environment.

Through hands-on use and ongoing collaboration with surgeons, operating room teams, residents, information technology professionals and hospital leadership, AIG Hospitals will help evaluate how connected digital technologies can support clinical excellence and operational effectiveness.

Speaking on the collaboration, Dr. GV Rao, Director & Chief of Surgery, AIG Hospitals, said “Surgery today is no longer confined to the operating room alone. It begins with planning, continues through coordinated execution, and must be followed by careful review, learning, and improvement. By implementing Polyphonic™ Surgery, we are taking an important step towards building a more connected and intelligent surgical ecosystem. The true value of this technology lies in how it can help our teams communicate better, learn faster, train more effectively and ultimately deliver, more precise and more consistent care to our patients.”

The collaboration also aligns with AIG Hospitals’ larger vision of integrating clinical excellence with academics, research, digital innovation and AI-enabled healthcare solutions. As part of the program, participating users at AIG Hospitals will provide feedback on usability, workflow integration and clinical connectivity, helping inform future applications across surgical specialties and hospital systems.

AIG Hospitals has consistently invested in technologies and institutional systems that enhance quality of care, strengthen medical training and support evidence-based clinical practice. The introduction of Polyphonic™ Surgery adds a new dimension to this journey by bringing digital intelligence, collaborative learning and surgical innovation directly into the operating room.
