Division of Auxein Institute for Surgeons (DAIS) in conjunction with the Department of Orthopaedics at AIIMS, JPNATC, Orthopaedics Research Society of AIIMS and AIIMS Cadaver Surgical Skills Training Lab (ACSST), successfully hosted a two-day 'Cadaveric Course on Arthroscopic Meniscus Repair' and the Ankle and Foot Course (AAFC 2.0), at the JPNATC, AIIMS, New Delhi.
The events provided a unique opportunity for orthopaedic professionals to refine their skills, gain practical insights, and interact with leading experts in the field.
The first day of the event focussed on advancing surgical expertise in Arthroscopic Meniscus Repair. Attendees participated in hands-on workshops with Meniscus Models and Saw Bones, allowing them to sharpen their technical skills in a realistic setting.
The cadaveric arthroscopic exercises, guided by distinguished orthopaedic experts, offered participants invaluable experience in performing arthroscopic meniscus repair techniques. In addition to practical training, the event featured interactive talks by distinguished orthopedic professionals, providing a deeper understanding of the latest advancements in the field.
The second day of the event was dedicated to enhancing Ankle and Foot Surgical skills through the AIIMS Ankle and Foot Course (AAFC 2.0). The course included expert-led cadaveric workshops where attendees gained hands-on experience on cadavers. The workshops offered an in-depth understanding of surgical techniques specific to ankle and foot arthroscopy. Distinguished national and international faculty shared their expertise, ensuring participants gained valuable knowledge and practical skills to elevate their practices.
The course and cadaveric workshop were conducted by esteemed faculties of orthopaedic experts which included AIIMS Orthopaedic Faculties, Dr Kamal Dureja, Dr Abhishek Jain, Dr Dhrumin Sangoi, Dr Pradeep Moonot, Dr Dhananjay Sabat, Dr Prateek Gupta, Dr Vikram Mhaskar, Dr Skand Sinha, Dr Himanshu Gupta, Dr VB Bhasin and Distinguished International Faculty members Dr Ahmed Othman Alqasem along with Dr Manel Ballester providing invaluable insights, ensuring that the participants received comprehensive training and knowledge.
