Apollo Navi Mumbai launches Paediatric Rehabilitation Centre with FDA approved therapies for cerebral palsy, delays. Doctor led early intervention boosts child outcomes in child friendly space.

Apollo Hospitals Navi Mumbai has launched its dedicated Paediatric Rehabilitation Centre, a major boost for specialised child care in the region.

For children facing cerebral palsy, developmental delays or post-surgery recovery, proper rehab can change their lives. Yet India lacks enough dedicated, age specific facilities. Paediatric rehab is its own field, distinct from adult care. Kids need tailored spaces, methods and tools suited to their growth. Doctor-led programs remain scarce. This new centre at Apollo fills that need.

Services include FDA approved physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy and aqua therapy. The space is built for children, with gear designed and set for paediatric safety across all recovery phases.

Early action forms the core. A multi-expert team of paediatric rehab doctors, physios, occupational therapists, speech therapists and psychologists works together to spot delays and act fast. Prompt, structured rehab improves long term results. Aqua therapy aids movement and healing for neuromuscular and bone issues in a controlled setup.

Its doctor led approach stands out, uncommon in India. Ongoing checks, joint planning and custom therapy paths shape each case. Family advice and parent training round it out, helping homes support progress.

Mr Arunesh Punetha, Regional CEO, Western Region, Apollo Hospitals, said: “This centre reflects our commitment to delivering specialised care where it is needed most. We have brought together advanced infrastructure, FDA approved services, and a dedicated multidisciplinary team with one goal: to improve outcomes and quality of life for children and their families.”

Dr Kiran Shingote, COO, Apollo Hospitals Navi Mumbai, added: “Early intervention can make a transformative difference in a child’s development. Our physician led model ensures personalised care pathways and close clinical supervision. The child friendly environment and paediatric calibrated equipment ensure that therapy is both effective and reassuring for young patients.”

Dr Nitin Menon, Consultant Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Apollo Hospitals Navi Mumbai, noted: “Paediatric rehabilitation calls for a different kind of expertise. We have built a programme that is collaborative, evidence based, and deeply attentive to family involvement. Every intervention is designed to support each child’s functional independence and long term well being.”

The launch enhances Apollo Navi Mumbai’s child care offerings and cements its role as a top health hub. It merges early intervention, doctor led care and FDA approved therapies to raise standards in paediatric rehab here and further afield.
