Aster CMI Hospital has introduced two state-of-the-art robotic platforms for neurosurgery: Mazor X for spine surgery and ROSA for cranial and brain procedures.
The robotic platforms were inaugurated by Mr. Venkatesh Prasad, President of the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA), in the presence of senior leadership and clinical experts from Aster CMI Hospital, Bangalore.
A breakthrough introduced through the ROSA robotic platform is frameless brain surgery technology, transforming the way neurosurgical procedures are performed in India. With ROSA’s frameless robotic technology, surgeons can now achieve sub-millimetric precision without the discomfort and invasiveness associated with conventional frame-based systems. The ROSA system supports complex brain tumor surgeries, epilepsy procedures, stereotactic neurosurgery, and movement disorder interventions while helping preserve critical brain functions.
The Mazor X robotic guidance system is designed for spine surgeries and assists surgeons with highly precise planning and placement of spinal implants. The technology enhances surgical accuracy, minimizes human error, reduces radiation exposure, and supports minimally invasive approaches that can lead to smaller incisions, reduced blood loss, shorter hospital stays, and quicker rehabilitation for patients.
