The new 500-bedded multi-speciality hospital facility will be located at Yeshwanthpur, Bengaluru
Aster DM Healthcare has announced Rs 580 crore investment to develop a state-of-the-art, 500-bed multi-speciality hospital in Yeshwanthpur. This new facility will be Aster’s fifth hospital in Bengaluru, bringing its total bed capacity in the city to 2,580 beds.
With a built-up area of approximately 5 lakh sq ft, the facility will be on a Built-to-Suit (BTS) model, reinforcing Aster’s asset-light expansion approach in the city. The new hospital is expected to be operational in the second half of FY 2028-2029. Aster has signed an Agreement to Lease (ATL) with Kemwell, part of the Kemfin Family office , for the development of this new hospital under a long-term lease of 30 years, with provisions for renewal.
Dr Azad Moopen, Founder and Chairman, Aster DM Healthcare, said, “The new hospital reflects our asset-light expansion approach, using Built-to-Suit models to deliver world-class healthcare infrastructure in high-demand corridors, while ensuring capital efficiency. Over the next few years, we aim to significantly increase our presence across South India by entering new cities and strengthening our footprint in existing ones.”
