Aster DM Healthcare to takeover Narayana Multispeciality Hospital, Whitefield

Aster DM Healthcare, one of the largest integrated healthcare service networks in the GCC and the third largest healthcare company in India, will take over the Narayana Multiplicity Hospital, Whitefield, Bengaluru. A source told IndiaMedToday,  NH Whitefield executives and staff have been told about the takeover and are looking for alternate opportunities. The handing over formalities is expected to be completed by Dec 2019. The name of the new entity is not decided yet. Narayana Health currently runs a chain of seven network hospitals in Bangaluru located at Bommasandra, HSR Layout, Whitefield, Indiranagar, Nrupthunga Road and Mattikere. According to the NHL Annual Report 2017-18  the Whitefield facility was one amongst the highest ARPOB units of NH network with ARPOB surpassing INR 10 mn. NH had remained bullish on it and was investing on it. Narayana Multiplicity Hospital, Whitefield was in advanced stages of capacity expansion by setting up 150-bedded new block. This new block a dedicated Mother and Child block will be operational by April 2020.
The 350 bedded Narayana Multiplicity Hospital, Whitefield will be the 3rd hospital run and operated by Aster DM Healthcare in Bengaluru.
Recently, Aster DM Healthcare signed 25-year lease deed agreement with Karnataka Lingayat Education (KLE) Society to run and operate its 600 bed hospital near Yeshwantpur on Tumkur NH Highway Road. This would be Aster’s 15th hospital in India and part of its global network of existing 25 hospitals, 115 clinics and 231 pharmacies. The hospital is scheduled to begin operations in April 2024.
