The year 2020 was a year that showed us a different facet of life. It made us realise how ill-prepared we were to face a health disaster. This year has been a gruelling one for humankind, especially for those who were unable to support themselves due to lack of resources. India has combated a massive global pandemic with its resources available in the health sector. Stressing the need of having more technologically advanced and robust last-mile health facilities in India post-Pandemic.
With the pandemic raging on, we expect higher spending on healthcare in the budget of 2021. The healthcare sector needs immediate attention, especially because most people do not have access to it. Preventive health check ups can bring down the disease burden substantially check-ups early detection and treatment. Apart from vaccination, government funding will strengthen the healthcare system at different levels which have been stretched in the recent pandemic.
