CARE Hospitals Strengthens Critical Care Capabilities with Advanced Medical Intensive Care Unit

New MICU reinforces the hospital’s commitment to expanding advanced healthcare infrastructure and delivering life-saving critical care.

Reinforcing its commitment to expanding advanced healthcare infrastructure and strengthening critical care services, CARE Hospitals, Malakpet, Hyderabad, inaugurated its Advanced Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), marking another significant milestone in enhancing access to high-acuity care in Hyderabad. 

The facility was inaugurated by Ahmed Bin Abdullah Balala, MLA, Malakpet Assembly Constituency, in the presence of Dr. Pawan Kumar, CEO (India II), Aster DM Quality Care Limited; Rajeev Shourey, Head – Quality & Patient Safety; Nilesh Gupta, Regional CEO; Praveen Kumar Edla, COO, CARE Hospitals, Malakpet; Shaik Mohinuddin Abrar, Corporator, Azampura; Dr. Sridhar, Medical Superintendent; Dr Vajrapu Rajendra, Senior Consultant & HOD – Critical Care; Senior doctors and hospital staff. 

With the growing burden of severe infections, respiratory illnesses, cardiac emergencies, sepsis and multi-organ failure, the need for advanced critical care continues to rise. The new facility has been established to address this evolving healthcare need by enabling rapid intervention, continuous monitoring and coordinated multidisciplinary care for critically ill patients, where every minute can make the difference between life and death. 

Designed to provide round-the-clock intensive care, the MICU is equipped with advanced patient monitoring systems, modern life-support technologies and contemporary critical care infrastructure. Supported by experienced intensivists, specialist physicians, trained critical care nurses and multidisciplinary teams, the unit is equipped to manage a wide spectrum of complex medical emergencies while delivering timely, coordinated and high-quality patient care. 

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ahmed Bin Abdullah Balala, MLA, Malakpet Assembly Constituency, said, “Quality healthcare infrastructure is essential for every growing community. The inauguration of this Advanced MICU at CARE Hospitals, Malakpet is an important step towards strengthening emergency and critical care services.
