CureMeAbroad, the medical tourism discovery and patient-navigation platform operated by Luxora Health Care Experiences Pvt. Ltd., has received the Medical Travel Facilitator Certification from Global Healthcare Accreditation (GHA), strengthening its focus on safety, transparency and quality across the international patient journey.
With the certification, CureMeAbroad becomes one of a select group of medical travel facilitators globally to be certified under GHA’s dedicated program for organizations that coordinate international patients with healthcare providers and manage the broader medical travel journey.
Unlike healthcare accreditation focused on hospitals and clinical providers, GHA’s Medical Travel Facilitator Certification evaluates organizations that sit between patients and healthcare providers. The certification assesses key aspects of the patient experience, including leadership and accountability, patient services, risk management, business ethics, cultural and language support, staff training, financial and marketing transparency, and data protection.
The certification is particularly relevant as international patients increasingly rely on facilitators to navigate unfamiliar healthcare systems, compare treatment options and coordinate travel, hospital and post-treatment requirements.

The GHA certification process goes beyond a basic compliance exercise. Eligible facilitators undergo a structured assessment that includes verification, staff training, documentation review and evaluation of policies and operating practices before a formal certification decision is made.
For CureMeAbroad, the process involved demonstrating how patients are supported throughout their journey — from the initial enquiry and treatment discovery to clinical coordination, pre-travel guidance, hospital coordination, travel logistics and post-treatment follow-up.
