Daniel Mazon to Head Philips India after V Raja Retires

V Raja, Vice Chairman and Managing Director Philips India would be retiring at the end of September 2017 and Daniel Mazon, VP, Philips Healthcare, Latin America will take his place. When contacted, Raja confirmed the news and said that the exit was part of his retirement plan.

V. Raja took over as Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Philips India Limited in December 2015 and was responsible for the Indian Subcontinent. Raja’s wealth of experience spans over three decades across diverse industries including Healthcare, Consumer Products, Food etc. in various leadership roles in Finance, Procurement, Business Development and Business Management. He comes from TE Connectivity where he was President and CEO of Indian Operations for four years. Prior to TE Connectivity, Raja worked with GE for 14 years of which 7 years as Business leader of GE Healthcare South Asia. He has also worked with Gillette, Unilever and other companies, and has proven track record of delivering profitable growth, turnarounds, nurturing talent and setting up new lines of business.

Daniel Mazon has been working at Philips since September 2011 as Vice President of Image Systems. In May 2014 he assumed the senior vice president position of Philips Healthcare Latin America, as industry and market leader. He began his career in the United States working with sales and marketing, with experience on operations, quality, business strategy, product development and industrial area. With 16 years of experience in healthcare, the executive has accumulated experience in countries like Mexico and the United States.
