Dhanuka Group to build waiting hall for patients at AIIMS New Delhi

The 80x80 meter size facility is being built near the community centre in the AIIMS premises
A waiting hall will soon come up in the premises of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. The hall will be built by Dhanuka Group as a part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives.
The Bhoomi Poojan of the hall was performed today in the august presence of Dr M Sreenivas, Director, AIIMS; Justice Adarsh Kumar Goel, Chairman, National Green Tribunal (NGT) and RG Agarwal, Chairman, Dhanuka Group.
The 80x80 meter size facility is being built near the community centre in the AIIMS premises and is expected to bring major relief to waiting for patients and accompanying relatives and well-wishers.
It is likely to be completed in four months and will have an attached washroom, drinking water facility and a canteen facility for refreshment.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Sreenivas said, “It’s a model example of a corporate helping a public institution in bringing facilities for our people. AIIMS is known worldwide for its excellent medical treatment and healthcare. This facility (waiting room) will bring major respite for waiting patients and accompanying relatives/well-wishers. We thank Dhanuka Group for this initiative.”
RG Agarwal, Chairman, Dhanuka Group speaking at the ceremony said, “It is our honour and privilege to partner with AIIMS to build waiting rooms for lakhs of patients who come here with great trust that this institution enjoys among Indians and people worldwide. Once operational, it will be operational 24x7 and will be available for ailing patients and accompanying people.”
The ceremony was graced by Dr M. Bajpai, Professor & Dean Academic, Dr. Sanjeev Lalwani, Professor & Registrar, Dr Reena Dada, Professor & In-charge – Media Cell, Dr Nand Kumar, Professor & In-charge – Protocol, Dr Anoop Dagar, Professor & In-charge – CSR Cell and Dr Sanjay Rai, Professor CCM among other Faculty members, doctors.
