Dr Shidhaye also served the University as Chairperson and later as a member of the Board of Studies in Pharmacy for over eight years
Vivekanand Education Society (VES) announced that Dr Supriya Shidhaye, Principal of VES College of Pharmacy, was conferred with the prestigious Best Principal Award 2024-25 – Urban Area by the University of Mumbai. The award took into consideration parameters such as individual research, grants, publications, patents, new academic programmes initiated, the autonomous status of the college, and contributions to the University of Mumbai. Dr Shidhaye also served the University as Chairperson and later as a member of the Board of Studies in Pharmacy for over eight years.
The award was presented by Kiren Rijiju, Minister of Minority Affairs and Parliamentary Affairs, Government of India, along with Prof (Dr) Ravindra Kulkarni, Vice Chancellor, University of Mumbai, at a grand felicitation ceremony that celebrated excellence in educational leadership. The University of Mumbai, with over 885 affiliated colleges spanning disciplines such as humanities, commerce, science, architecture, law, management, and pharmacy, recognised Dr Shidhaye’s exceptional contributions in the category of Urban Colleges – Pharmacy.
