Dr Vij has joined as Head of HPB & Liver Transplant Surgery

Gleneagles Hospital Chennai is proud to announce the appointment of Dr Vivek Vij, a liver transplant and hepato-pancreato-biliary (HPB) surgeon, as the Head of HPB & Liver Transplant Surgery. Dr Vij brings 25 years of experience in pioneering advancements in liver transplantation and complex HPB surgeries, further strengthening the hospital’s position as a centre of excellence for liver care.

Dr Vij is recognised for his groundbreaking work in minimally invasive liver transplant procedures, pediatric liver transplantation, hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery. He has performed 400+ complex liver transplant surgeries per year. His expertise spans living donor liver transplantation, robotic liver surgery, advanced HPB interventions, and management of end-stage liver diseases and acute liver failure.”
