Fortis Bangalore launches Centre for Hepatobiliary Sciences and Liver Transplant

Every year 500,000 Indians need an organ transplant. A good number of these patients require liver transplants to treat several liver diseases which are increasing at a fast pace. The need for offering affordable and high quality liver transplants with good clinical outcomes is more pronounced than it ever has been.




To address this need Fortis hospital, Bannerghatta Road launched its Centre for Hepatobiliary Sciences and Liver Transplant. The inauguration was done by the guest of honor and world renowned Liver Transplant surgeon Dr. Tan Kai Chah.
