Fortis Hospital Vadapalani adds 17-bedded multi-disciplinary ICU

Fortis Hospital Vadapalani has added a state-of-the-art 17 bedded multi-disciplinary intensive care Unit. The new facility is equipped with advanced technologies and round-the-clock multi-disciplinary specialists aimed to offer a high level of intensive care to critically ill patients. This will be an additional unit to the existing 58 ICU beds at the hospital. The ICU was inaugurated by the Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Government of Tamil Nadu – Thiru. Ma.

Thiru Venkat Phanidhar Nelluri, SBU Head at Fortis Hospital Chennai, Dr V Poorna Chandran – Medical Superintendent, Dr Biswarup Pal – Clinical Lead & Senior Consultant Critical Care Services, Fortis Hospital Vadapalani and Senior Medical personnel were present at the launch.

Multi-disciplinary Clinical team consisting of cardiologists, orthopaedics, neurologists, pulmonologists, gastroenterologists, hepatologists, etc. will provide continuous support in the intensive care unit to treat critically ill medical and surgical patients.
