The advanced CAD EYE system aids in detection and characterisation of suspected lesion during colonoscopy and detects early gastric flat lesions in gastrointestinal endoscopy

FUJIFILM India has introduced the state-of-the-art CAD EYE Artificial Intelligence endoscopy system in Jaipur for the first time at Fortis Hospital. This installation promises top-tier diagnostic technology, crucial for tackling the rising threat of gastric and colon cancers in the underserved region of Rajasthan.

The installation of Fujifilm’s CAD EYE at Fortis Hospital at Jaipur, led by Dr Shyam Sunder Sharma is a significant step in detecting GI and colon cancers. Using advanced imaging techniques and AI algorithms, CAD EYE will support early-stage detection by analysing endoscopic images for subtle abnormalities. This upgrade boosts diagnostic accuracy and facilitates a better adenoma detection rate to provide timely intervention and improve patient outcomes. This state-of-the-art machine comes equipped with the latest imaging technology like LCI (Linked color imaging)-BLI (Blue light imaging) along with Artificial Intelligence technology.

Dr Sharma, Senior Director & HOD Gastroenterology, Fortis Hospital, Jaipur Rajasthan said, “This marks a significant milestone with the installation of Jaipur’s first-ever Artificial Intelligence system, CAD EYE. This innovation will not only enhance the current medical infrastructure but also ensure faster and more accurate results—without any additional cost to patients—for the first time in Rajasthan. This accomplishment goes beyond technological progress; it reflects our unwavering commitment to advancing healthcare outcomes for our community. With CAD EYE, we are set to raise the bar in gastrointestinal care, enabling timely and precise diagnoses that are vital in the battle against cancer. AI-powered endoscopy has proven to be a transformative tool in improving patient outcomes, though it has largely been confined to metro cities in India. We are proud to bring this cutting-edge technology to Jaipur. It holds immense potential in preventing serious and life-threatening conditions such as stomach and colon cancer by detecting them at a pre-cancerous stage.”

Dheeraj Chaudhari, Head of Endoscopy Systems Division, FUJIFILM India, added, FUJIFILM India, said, “We, at FUJIFILM India, are dedicated to offering the best medical innovations and technologies to improve the quality of life for people around the world. With the installation of CAD EYE in Fortis Hospital, Jaipur, the patients in the city will be able to get the required medical support to detect suspected lesions at an early stage. This will aid timely diagnosis and treatment of the citizens of Jaipur and neighboring states at the technologically advanced Center in Rajasthan. We aim to provide superior technologically advanced medical facilities that help save lives and encourage patients to become more engaged in their personal care. With the vision of innovation, we will strive to provide our consumers with the best-in-class technology and make India a healthier place to live in.”
