IIM Raipur, Academy of Digital Health Sciences host panel of thought leaders on digital health and executive leadership prog

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur, in collaboration with the Academy of Digital Health Sciences, hosted a distinguished panel of thought leaders to address and interact with the second batch of its Postgraduate (PG) Course in Digital Health and for the Executive Leadership Programme for Founders & CEOs of Hospitals. This flagship programme continues to pave the way for the future of healthcare innovation in India.
The session featured inspiring addresses from Dr Rajendra Pratap Gupta, former Advisor to the Union Health Minister of India, Member of the National Education Policy, Government of India, and Programme Chair, Amitabh Nag, CEO of Bhashini under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY), Government of India, Dr Sanjay Sood, Project Director, eSanjeevani and Dr R Chandrasekhar, former Chief Architect of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India along with other prominent figures from the healthcare sector.
Dr Gupta emphasised the transformative potential of digital health in achieving universal healthcare access and why the founders and CEOs of hospitals need to be re-inventing hospitals in the emerging paradigm. He shared his insights on integrating policy frameworks with technology to revolutionise India's healthcare system. His talk inspired students to think critically about leveraging digital health tools to address pressing healthcare challenges.
Nag highlighted the importance of fostering linguistic inclusivity in digital health solutions to make healthcare accessible to diverse populations across India. He encouraged the participants to focus on creating user-centric innovations that can bridge the healthcare divide between urban and rural areas.
Dr Sood spoke about the transformative impact of the Project eSanjeevani and how it has become the world’s biggest telemedicine platform with over 3.15 crore tele consultations done since its launch. He emphasized the growing need for professionals skilled in digital health technologies to address the sector's rapid evolution.
These healthcare programmes at IIM Raipur and the Academy of Digital Health Sciences are designed to equip healthcare professionals, technologists, and policymakers with the knowledge and skills required to excel in this rapidly growing field. By bringing industry leaders and academicians together, the program continues to serve as a unique platform for learning and collaboration. The Executive Leadership Programme for Founders & CEOs of Hospitals is aimed at hospitals with less than 300 beds to ensure that the hospitals can improve the scope and scale of services to become the preferred service providers in their regions. Both these programs have shaped up as the top-rated healthcare programs offered online with self-paced learning modes for senior healthcare professionals. There is a three-day interactive immersion program at the IIM campus as an important part of the Programme.
