Innovation Showcase Award to Surya Hospital and Fisher & Paykel Healthcare

New Zealand High Commissioner to India, Joanna Kempkers handed over an Innovation Showcase Award to Surya Mother & Child Care Hospital and Fisher & Paykel Healthcare in Mumbai last week. The award recognises the hospital’s success at significantly reducing the mortality rate of premature newborns with the use of Fisher & Paykel Healthcare products like baby warmers, respiratory systems and other devices. Surya is one of Mumbai’s leading hospitals and Fisher & Paykel Healthcare, on the other hand, is a New Zealand-based leading manufacturer of medical equipment. Dr Bhupendra S Avasthi, Managing Director of Surya Mother & Child Care Hospital, and T P Bastin, Country Head of Fisher and Paykel Healthcare India, received the award from Ms Kempkers. Trade Commissioner Jane Cunliffe and Kempkers also took time out to support Surya’s “Save the Preemies” campaign, which is targeted at saving premature babies and raising awareness of this issue. #SavePreemies Surya Hospitals
