Kinder Women’s Hospital and Fertility Center, Bengaluru, has launched a state-of-the-art Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at its flagship facility in the city. The new unit enhances Kinder’s vision of providing specialised, critical care to infants, children, and adolescents in urgent need.
Dr Bhaskar Shenoy, Head of Department and Consultant – Paediatrics and Paediatric Infectious Diseases, Manipal Hospital, inaugurated the facility. The event saw the presence of Dr Pradeepkumar VK, Chairman, Kinder Women’s Hospital and Fertility Center.
The hospital’s paediatric super-speciality team includes:
· Dr Sampat Kumar Shettigar, Senior Consultant – Paediatrics & Neonatology, is a leading neonatologist with over 14 years of experience. Trained in the UK, he brings in global expertise to NICU and pediatric care in Kinder Bangalore.
· Dr Jayanth S Sampath, Senior Consultant – Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery. An internationally trained expert in cerebral palsy, limb deformities, fractures, and skeletal dysplasias.
· Dr Antony Robert Charles, Senior Consultant – Pediatric Surgery & Urology. With global experience, he focuses on neonatal surgery, pediatric urology, and laparoscopic procedures.
· Dr Harshvardhan, Senior Consultant is a skilled Paediatric Intensivist with a decade-pluss expertise in paediatric emergencies, post-op critical care, and transplant intensive care.
