Lavender Lane India’s first paediatric super-speciality day hospital today opened its flagship centre in Sector 90, Noida. Founded by Dr. Silky Jain, one of the country’s renowned paediatric haemato-oncologists and bone marrow transplant physicians, the centre brings advanced specialist care for children into a day-hospital model proven globally to be safer, gentler on families, and more cost-effective — without an overnight admission.
Today, Indian children with serious and chronic conditions are largely treated inside systems designed for adults: adult corridors, adult formularies, adult reference ranges, and often overnight stays for treatments that can be safely completed in a day. Families shuttle between hospitals and departments, for lack of pediatric super-specialities in one place, while childhoods are interrupted. Lavender Lane was built to end that — every paediatric super-speciality, under one calm, child-first roof.
“In India, I have treated children in all kinds of systems, public as well as private, where the medicine was world-class but everything around the medicine was built for adults,” said Dr. Silky Jain, Founder & CEO, and Chief, Paediatric Haemato-Oncology & BMT, Lavender Lane. “A child should not spend three nights in a hospital for a treatment that takes four hours. I could either keep wishing a place designed entirely for children existed — or build it. Leaving an institutional career to do this was a clinical decision before it was an entrepreneurial one. Lavender Lane is that decision.”
The centre opens with some of the most needed Pediatric general and super-speciality services — Vaccination, Growth and Development monitoring, Pediatric Nutrition, Child and Adolescent Counselling, Developmental and behavioural Paediatrics, Asthma and Allergy, Paediatric Gastroenterology, and Paediatric Haematology-Oncology — supported by a paediatric day-care chemotherapy unit, day- care procedural and observation beds, a minor OT, a diagnostic laboratory, a dedicated paediatric pharmacy, and integrated family-support services.
Lavender Lane is designed as an ecosystem, not a standalone building: it works as a referral partner exclusively to paediatricians, with structured reporting back to the referring doctor after every visit, and a single digital health record that stays with the family.
