AI capabilities in digital dentistry will be expanded
Laxmi Dental announced that its Board of Directors has approved an investment in IDBG AI Dent Global (AI Dent), a Gujarat-based healthcare technology company focussed on artificial intelligence applications in dentistry.
Upon completion, Laxmi Dental Limited will hold 58 per cent of the capital in AI Dent. The objective of the acquisition is to strengthen the company’s research and development and expand its technology offerings.
Through this investment, Laxmi Dental aims to build local capability in AI for dental care, enabling dentists to adopt faster, data-driven processes while reducing procedural complexity for patients. The focus is on creating systems that support dentists in delivering consistent care and give patients improved access, accuracy, and clarity in diagnosis and treatment.

AI Dent is developing AI-based dental imaging and diagnostic tools, including software for image analysis and X-ray interpretation.
