The Founder / Permanent Trustees ie Kishor Mehta and Charu Mehta and their sons ie Prashant Mehta and Rajesh Mehta are setting up a world-class medical facility at Gift City, Gujarat giving a major boost to the healthcare infrastructure in the State of Gujarat. The state-of-the-art Lilavati Hospital at GIFT City will comprise 250 census beds and 50 non-census beds and will provide world-class treatment to patients. They are setting up this hospital in their individual capacity. The hospital has over 400 highly qualified doctors/consultants and a staff strength of around 2,500.
“Since the year 1997, the name Lilavati Hospital has been synonymous with the best quality healthcare services in Mumbai. It has been voted the best hospital in Mumbai by different organisations over the last 25 years. We are glad we are finally doing that with the Lilavati Hospital in GIFT City. The hospital will provide tertiary and quaternary care services, and is strategically located to cater to patients from Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar as well as other surrounding places,” said Prashant Mehta, Permanent Trustee of Lilavati Kirtilal Mehta Medical Trust.
“The Lilavati Hospital in GIFT City is a realisation of my parents’ dream for a multi-speciality hospital in Gujarat and a reflection of our commitment to continue the family legacy of giving back to society in every way possible. We look forward to serving the people of Gujarat with the Lilavati Hospital in GIFT City,” Mehta said further.
His brother Rajesh Mehta, another Permanent Trustee of Lilavati Kirtilal Mehta Medical Trust is also involved in the project. Despite the Gujarat entity and the Mumbai entity being distinct from each other, the focus and endeavour have always been to optimise medical services and consider patient safety to be paramount.
