The Governor's Award for Excellence was given for Divyangjan Welfare
 
The Institute of Vision Rehabilitation (IVR) of the LV Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) received the Governor's Award for Excellence in Divyangjan Welfare. The award included a citation and a cheque for Rs 2 lakhs.
 
The first series of the Governor’s Awards for Excellence 2024 — the first of its kind in the history of Raj Bhavan (Telangana State) recognising the outstanding contributions of individuals and organisations, were presented on the 76th Republic Day at Raj Bhavan, Hyderabad.  
 
The award was received by Dr Beula Christy, Head - IVR from Jishnu Dev Varma, the Governor, in the presence of Revanth Reddy, the Honourable Chief Minister, Telangana High Court acting Chief Justice Sujoy Pal, and Union Minister for Coal and Mines G Kishan Reddy and other dignitaries.
