The innovation allows medical students, educators, and practitioners to explore human anatomy in a detailed, interactive, and safe manner, eliminating the limitations of traditional cadaver-based learning
Maverick Simulation Solutions, manufacturer of advanced medical simulators, has successfully installed India’s first Anatomage Table at Vardhman Mahavir Medical College (VMMC) & Safdarjung Hospital. The installation was inaugurated by Punya Salila Srivastava, Secretary (Health), during the launch of the hospital’s Virtual Clinical Anatomy Laboratory, which aims to revolutionise the way anatomy and clinical sciences are taught and practiced.
The Anatomage Table is one of the most advanced 3D Real-Tissue based anatomy visualisation systems in the world. It enables users to perform full-body virtual dissections, visualize high-resolution 3D anatomy, and correlate cross-sectional and radiological images with real human data. The table also includes interactive learning modules designed for medical education and research. This innovation allows medical students, educators, and practitioners to explore human anatomy in a detailed, interactive, and safe manner, eliminating the limitations of traditional cadaver-based learning.
Hospitals and medical institutions can also leverage the table for pre-surgical planning, case-based discussions, and patient education. By visualising patient-specific anatomy in 3D, clinicians can make better-informed decisions, improving both diagnostic accuracy and surgical precision. The system further promotes multidisciplinary collaboration among medical teams by offering a common platform for analysing clinical cases in real-time.
Anuj Chahal, Founder, Maverick Simulation Solutions, said, “We are proud to partner with VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital in bringing Anatomage Table into their education curriculum and patient planning procedures. This installation represents a major step forward in integrating digital innovation into medical education and clinical practice. At Maverick Simulation Solutions, our goal is to empower doctors, educators, and students with world-class simulation tools that enhance learning, support clinical excellence, and ultimately improve patient care outcomes.”
Dr Vandana Mehta, Director Professor and Head of Anatomy, VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, said, “The institution will enhance teaching, learning, and research through immersive 3D anatomy visualisation. It will also strengthen clinical correlation, ensuring modern, efficient, and sustainable medical education. Anatomage will redefine medical education through interactive, precise, and repeatable exploration of anatomical structures.”
