MGM Healthcare announces Rs 300-cr cancer institute in Chennai
MGM Cancer Institute will be a 150-bedded facility
MGM Healthcare announced its new greenfield comprehensive cancer institute dedicated to cancer care at Nelson Manickam Road, Nungambakkam in Chennai. The state-of-the-art facility is said to be designed to be a holistic destination for cancer treatment, the cancer institute emphasises and banks on continuing research and the global fight against cancer.
Unveiling the logo of the MGM Cancer Institute, Dr Prashanth Rajagopalan, Director, MGM Healthcare said, “Our new institute at Nungambakkam is a milestone in our journey in providing affordable and quality cancer care to all patients.”
The MGM Cancer Institute, a 150-bedded facility at Nungambakkam is distinct and continues with MGM Healthcare’s ‘Ethos of Healing’, experienced in its flagship 400-bedded facility also located at the centre of the city, to create a distinct architectural marvel.
Dr MA Raja, Director Oncology Services, Chairman, Medical Advisory Board, said, “With the use of latest technology and by providing personalised concierge and Support Buddy System and care continuity to help monitor medications, diet, and lifestyle while also acting as an intermediate between the doctor and the patient, we aim to provide a centre of excellence and redefine cancer care therapy. Apart from providing treatment, the team of experts at MGM Cancer Institute will also focus on cancer screening, genetics and preventive aspects of cancer.
