NeuraSim, QWR unveil AI-powered immersive VR therapy

IMT News Desk

The digital therapeutic is clinically proven to deliver mild to severe recovery in just one to three months

Heath-tech startup NeuraSim Health in collaboration with QWR - Fabless OEM XR Hardware manufacturer are transforming the future of eye care with BeeVee—India’s first AI-powered VR wearable for amblyopia treatment. The digital therapeutic is clinically proven to deliver mild to severe recovery in just one to three months, offering a groundbreaking, non-invasive alternative to traditional vision therapy. After extensive market testing, BeeVee is now officially launching home therapy in the Indian market to make it accessible.

Amblyopia, or lazy eye, is a rare eye condition which is estimated to jump 175.2 million by 2030 worldwide, making it the most common cause of childhood vision impairment. Traditional treatments like eye patching are slow, uncomfortable, and often ineffective due to poor compliance.

BeeVee transforms this approach with AI-driven VR therapy, using adaptive exercises to retrain the brain and improve vision faster, more effectively, and with greater engagement. Recognising the need for greater accessibility and comfort for patients, the brand will also offer at-home therapy sessions across India.

Unlike conventional treatments, BeeVee offers:

• Immersive Gamified Therapy – Instead of patching the stronger eye, BeeVee uses fun, interactive VR games that train both eyes together, improving binocular vision.

• AI-Driven Adaptive Training – Adjusts difficulty levels in real-time based on the user’s response, ensuring optimal therapy progress.

• Neuroplasticity Activation – The therapy stimulates brain pathways responsible for vision, helping retrain the lazy eye more effectively than passive treatments.

• Home-Based & Clinically Monitored – Patients can use BeeVee at home, while doctors monitor progress remotely, reducing clinic visits and increasing accessibility.

• Shorter, More Effective Sessions – BeeVee sessions are short and engaging, improving compliance while accelerating visual improvement.

“Being featured on Shark Tank India was a defining moment in our mission to revolutionise eye care in India. Bringing the country’s first AI-powered VR wearable to market is just the beginning, we are now focused on making BeeVee accessible in every home, ensuring that no child has to struggle with amblyopia due to outdated treatments," said Dr Ramesh S Ve, Founder and CEO, NeuraSim Health.

Suraj Aiar, Founder, QWR, stated, “We are proud to be a part of this breakthrough in eye care. At QWR, our mission is to harness technology to create meaningful change, and BeeVee is a step towards that vision. By integrating XR and AI, we are making advanced vision therapy more accessible while contributing to India’s growing presence on the global health-tech stage. We look forward to more such collaborations and the opportunity to transform lives.”
