IPO-bound Paras Healthcare plans a 36% bed expansion to 3,011 by FY28, adding new hospitals to serve growing demand in North India.

IPO-bound Paras Healthcare has outlined plans to significantly expand its hospital capacity, targeting a 36 per cent rise in total beds to 3,011 by the end of FY28. The Gurugram-based hospital chain, which operates eight hospitals across North India with around 2,211 beds at present, aims to add new facilities in key locations as part of its next phase of growth, strengthening its position as a leading specialty-led healthcare provider in the region.

The expansion roadmap includes the addition of a new 300-bed hospital in Gurugram and a 500-bed facility in Ludhiana, which together will drive the projected increase in capacity by March 2028. The planned growth in infrastructure is expected to help Paras Healthcare serve a larger patient base in underserved urban and semi-urban markets, deepen its presence in tertiary and quaternary care and respond to rising demand for quality hospital services in North India.

To support these plans, the company has filed for an initial public offering (IPO) of around ₹1,800 crore, comprising a fresh issue and an offer for sale by existing shareholders. Proceeds from the fresh issue are expected to be used to reduce debt, strengthen the balance sheet and fund expansion projects, including the proposed new hospitals and related investments. The capacity build-out comes against the backdrop of robust sectoral demand and continued investor interest in India’s hospital industry, where multiple leading players are also pursuing sizeable bed additions over the next five to seven years.
