Park Medi World Limited has announced an all-cash transaction to acquire 100 per cent shareholding in The Medicity Hospital, Rudrapur, for about Rs 177 crore, marking the hospital chain’s entry into Uttarakhand and expansion into its sixth state. The deal, routed through the acquisition of V3 Healthcare Private Limited, which operates The Medicity Hospital, will be executed in two tranches, with 80 per cent stake to be acquired by August 31, 2026 and the remaining 20 per cent by April 30, 2030.
The Medicity Hospital in Rudrapur is a 330-bed, NABH-accredited multi-super speciality facility and is positioned among the largest hospitals in the Kumaon region. Spread across about 7,000 square metres with roughly 1.64 lakh square feet of built-up area, the hospital offers more than 20 specialities and is equipped with modern medical infrastructure catering to a wide range of clinical services. According to recent financial disclosures, the hospital reported a turnover of around Rs 55.74 crore in FY 2025–26 (unaudited), reflecting steady revenue growth over the past three years.
Park Medi World, which has been pursuing a brownfield-led expansion strategy across North India, said the acquisition is aligned with its focus on high-potential, underserved healthcare markets and on driving operational synergies and economies of scale. The company expects the transaction to strengthen its regional network, improve bed utilisation and support its financial performance over the medium to long term as services are expanded and operations integrated. In a statement, the management described the Rudrapur acquisition as a key milestone in building a world-class, pan-North India healthcare network and indicated plans to further enhance clinical programmes at the newly acquired facility.
