The Government of Madhya Pradesh has partnered with Science House Medical Pvt Ltd to bring affordable, high‑quality pathology services to government hospitals across the state, sharply cutting diagnostic costs and improving access.
85 labs, large‑scale reach
The initiative covers 85 laboratories spread across Madhya Pradesh and has already benefited around 1.6 crore people, with an estimated 10–12 lakh tests conducted every month. This expansion is making reliable diagnostic testing more available in both urban and rural areas.
Up to 85% lower test prices
Diagnostic costs have fallen by nearly 80–85%, with many common tests now available at a fraction of private‑sector rates. For instance, a test that typically costs about ₹100 in the private sector is now available for roughly ₹18 at government facilities, significantly easing the financial burden on patients.
Faster reports and stronger quality
The average report turnaround time has been streamlined to within 24 hours, enabling quicker diagnosis and treatment decisions. The program uses integrated laboratory systems and live dashboards monitored by the National Health Mission (NHM) for real‑time tracking and quality control. Science House Medical has also helped 36 government labs achieve NABL accreditation, ensuring tests follow standardized, quality‑aligned procedures.
Spokesperson on access and affordability
Mr. Puneet Dubey, CEO of Science House Medical Pvt Ltd, said the collaboration aims to bridge diagnostic‑access gaps across the state. “The focus remains on making reliable pathological diagnostics accessible at the lowest possible cost, using NABL‑aligned protocols and strict quality control,” he noted, adding that growth in domestic manufacturing of equipment and reagents has helped drive down prices while maintaining quality.
