Philips India, today announced the appointment of Rohit Sathe as President – Philips India Healthcare, effective from December 4th, 2017. Rohit will be a part of the Philips India Leadership team and will be responsible for bringing in leadership experience, and extensive industry knowledge to contribute to Philips’ overall growth plans. He will oversee key initiatives to improve access to healthcare in the areas of prevention, diagnostics and treatment. The appointment is set to augment Philips’ leadership position and reinforce its market presence with significant value-addition for customers.

Rohit Sathe is a seasoned leader with almost two decades of work experience in the healthcare, construction and e-learning industries in India and UK. He has joined us from Johnson & Johnson Medical India (JJMI) where his last role was Senior Director of Strategy, Key Accounts and International (SAARC) Business. During his 12+ years tenure at J&J, he worked in the Cardiology, Orthopaedics and Neuro segments. His achievements include launching coronary drug eluting stents (DES), integrating the recently acquired Synthes business into J&J and turning around and improving profitability of the Trauma and Neuro businesses. His rich experience in sales, marketing, strategy and project management across diverse industries will help Philips move closer to its target of touching 200 million patients in India by 2025.
