PlatinumRx, an online pharmacy making quality medicines affordable for chronic patients, has raised $6 million in a Series A round led by Stellaris Venture Partners, with participation from existing investor India Quotient. The fresh capital will be used to scale operations by adding fulfillment centres, building strong teams across product and tech, and strengthening the supply chain and brand presence.

Founded by Ashutosh Pandey and Piyush Kumar, PlatinumRx is making quality medicines accessible
to millions of Indians in a transparent, safe, and reliable way.

“PlatinumRx was born out of a simple belief: quality medicines should not be a luxury. Middle-income
chronic patients in India often spend Rs 2,000- Rs 5,000 every month on lifelong treatment for diabetes,
hypertension, or other chronic conditions, and the financial burden is unbearable,” said Ashutosh
Pandey, Co-founder of PlatinumRx. “By offering a wide assortment of affordable substitutes with
quality assurance, consistent availability, and doorstep delivery, we are committed to making
healthcare accessible to all.”

Piyush Kumar, Co-founder, PlatinumRx said, “At PlatinumRx, we’re focussed on helping customers
save on essential medicines. Over the next 12–18 months, we aim to serve over a million customers
by expanding our reach with five new fulfillment centres, enhancing the customer experience through
AI-driven personalisation, and strengthening sourcing efficiencies to deliver even greater value.”

“The chronic disease burden in India is rising, and so is the cost of medication. With growing
awareness and adoption of affordable substitutes among chronic patients, PlatinumRx has a massive opportunity ahead. With a compelling value proposition and strong execution muscle, the team is
well positioned to become the go-to platform for affordable medicines in India,” said Naman Lahoty,
Partner, Stellaris Venture Partners.
