PM inaugurates 500-bed hospital in Navsari

The hospitals are part of an eight-acre AM Naik Healthcare Complex which also includes a residential enclave for consultants, specialists, nurses and paramedical staff

Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi recently inaugurated a 500-bed, state-of-the-art, multispecialty and cancer hospitals complex at Navsari and a centre of excellence encompassing a skill-building centre, primary, secondary and higher secondary schools at village Kharel in south Gujarat. The hospitals are part of an eight-acre AM Naik Healthcare Complex which also includes a residential enclave for consultants, specialists, nurses and paramedical staff. In proximity to the schools are hostels for students and accommodation for the faculty and principal. 

Speaking on the occasion, A M Naik, Founder Chairman, Nirali Memorial Medical Trust, philanthropist and Padma Vibhushan awardee said his philanthropy is broadly aligned with the Prime Minister’s goal of providing affordable and accessible healthcare, imparting education and skill training to the people

“I am delighted to have Modi grace this occasion. His passion to serve the nation and its people is truly inspiring. It is very motivating, driving others to do the same,” said Mr Naik. 

The hospitals, schools and skilling-centre were set up by two Trusts founded by Naik in 2009. The ‘Nirali Memorial Medical Trust’ focuses on extending modern healthcare to the needy. The ‘Naik Charitable Trust’ propagates education and skill-building. 

The hospitals will prove to be a boon to south Gujarat – in terms of advanced medical care. It will incorporate a range of advanced multi-disciplinary equipment, putting it on par with the finest of healthcare facilities.
