Inauguration of Ramaiah Healthcare Sector Skill Council Training Centre

The inaugural program of “Ramaiah Healthcare Sector Skill Council Training Centre” was held on 22nd February 2018, at Ramaiah Memorial Hospital Auditorium. Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Skill development & entrepreneurship Shri. Anantkumar Hegde inaugurated the program in the presence of Dr. M R Jayaram Chairman, Gokula Education Foundation, Mr. Ashish Jain CEO, HSSC, Dr. Alexander Thomas, Chairman – HSSC Karnataka State & Dr. Nar. sh Shetty, President-Ramaiah Memorial Hospital.

The Healthcare Sector Skill Council (HSSC) is a Not-for-Profit, Non- Statutory Certifying Organization, under the ambit of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. The Council has been promoted by the Confederation of Indian Industry, National Skills Development Corporation and Healthcare Industry Leaders representing both public and private sector.

Skill India has been our Prime Minister important initiative. Rising skill gap has emerged to be one of the key barriers in healthcare sector. The burden of rising healthcare costs and rapidly increasing population has further widened this gap, making it difficult for countries to equate healthcare needs with existing means. While the healthcare industry is growing rapidly in India and around the world, it faces a critical challenge i.e. the need for a professional and skilled workforce.  Ramaiah Healthcare Sector Skill Council Training Centre, under Ramaiah Memorial Hospital is an affiliated training partner with HSSC to impart training skills in healthcare related courses. This training center being attached to 500 bedded NABH accredited tertiary care Ramaiah Memorial Hospital and Advanced Learning Center equipped with simulation labs will offer participants unmatched training experience.

The Institution looks forward to make the dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi- “Let’s make India the Skill Capital of the World” in to a reality with its own small effort.

The courses offered includes Radiology, Dialysis, Emergency Medicine, Sterile Supply department technicians, Diet, Physiotherapy, Nursing assistants.
