Turns every smartphone camera into a 30-second instant WellnessCheck

With the #FaceItToday initiative, Redcliffe Labs introduces Face Scan, a revolutionary, non-contact wellness screening solution that transforms any smartphone or camera-enabled device into a personal health check tool in just 30 seconds, with instant health insights.

Face Scan leverages remote photoplethysmography (rPPG) and remote ballistocardiography (rBCG) to extract physiological signals from a short facial video. By detecting subtle colour changes in the skin caused by blood pulsations, rPPG enables contactless measurement of heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), breathing rate, and blood pressure. In addition, the detection of tiny micro-movements of the head (rBCG) increases accuracy in low-light conditions and for skin types with higher melanin concentration. With advanced technology, it delivers real-time insights into heart rate, blood pressure, stress levels, and more, all without any physical contact.

Face Scan by Redcliffe Labs is designed as an intelligent early-warning tool to support preventive health awareness. It does not substitute a medical device or clinical diagnosis; instead, it helps identify potential health indicators and guides individuals toward relevant diagnostic evaluations for deeper insights. With repeated use, the tool enables longitudinal health trend tracking, empowering informed, preventive health decisions and strengthening India’s shift toward proactive care.
