The forum brought together leading gynaecologists from across the city for an impactful clinical knowledge exchange and future-forward discussions on robotic-assisted gynecologic surgery. Dr Padma Priya Vivek, Diploma in Reproductive Medicine (Germany) headed the esteemed panel of speakers of the session.

Dr Padmapriya Vivek, Director, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Gleneagles Hospitals Chennai has performed over 320 da Vinci GYN procedures since Q2 2023 and is the second surgeon in India to complete 50 robotic GYN procedures within just 90 days showcased, the robotic innovations from Gleneagles Hospital Chennai and provided an in-depth look at the comparative outcomes between open, laparoscopic, and robotic-assisted benign hysterectomy procedures.

Dr Vivek presented robust clinical data demonstrating the benefits of the da Vinci platform, including reduced blood loss, shortened hospital stay, fewer complications, and improved patient recovery. Her structured training model and efforts to build a Total Robotic GYN Practice have significantly influenced the growing adoption of robotics in women’s health in India.
