RPG Life Sciences (RPG LS) has partnered with Archerchem Healthcare to launch Naprosyn ES, a fixed-dose combination of naproxen and esomeprazole, for the first time in India. The collaboration strengthens the companies’ existing relationship, positioning Naprosyn ES as an effective anti-inflammatory solution with built-in gastroprotection. Under the agreement, RPG Life Sciences will exclusively market and distribute Naprosyn ES nationwide, while Archerchem Healthcare will serve as the exclusive supplier.
The new product is aimed at addressing a significant unmet need among patients requiring long-term nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) therapy, particularly those at heightened risk of gastrointestinal complications. By combining a proven NSAID with a proton pump inhibitor in a single formulation, Naprosyn ES is expected to improve treatment adherence and support safer, sustained pain management, especially in elderly and gastro-sensitive patient populations.
Commenting on the launch, Ashok Nair, Managing Director, RPG Life Sciences, said: “At RPG Life Sciences, innovation is rooted in patient centricity. Naprosyn ES is an example of our strong R&D-driven approach to differentiated products and the long-standing trust that doctors and patients place in the Naprosyn brand.”
Anil Dhedia, Chairman & Managing Director, Archerchem Healthcare, added: “This partnership exemplifies Archerchem’s core strength in developing complex differential formulations. Through our partnership with RPG Life Sciences, a leading pharmaceutical company with a strong presence in multiple chronic and acute therapies, including the pain management segment, we are proud to deliver incremental innovation that enhances medication adherence and brings meaningful benefit to patients across India.”
RPG Life Sciences plans to leverage the strong legacy and brand recall of Naprosyn, along with its extensive reach to a broad spectrum of clinicians, including super-specialists, and a pan-India distribution network to drive uptake of Naprosyn ES. The launch is aligned with the company’s strategy of building a differentiated portfolio in chronic therapy segments and expanding its presence in pain management.
Naprosyn ES is now available across India.
