Saifee Hospital has introduced the advanced Genius 3D Mammography system to enhance early and accurate breast cancer detection, offering clearer layered breast imaging, improved identification of small or early-stage abnormalities, and fewer false positives as part of its comprehensive women’s health and cancer screening services.

Saifee Hospital has improved its screening for breast cancer by installing Genius 3D Mammography, an advanced imaging technology known to significantly increase early detection and proper diagnosis.

The Genius 3D Mammography system (also referred to as digital breast tomosynthesis) enables radiologists to view the breast tissue in layers, giving a clearer and more detailed picture of the tissue, as compared to traditional 2D mammography.

The advanced image capability goes a long way in improving the ability to detect small or early-stage abnormalities and minimizing false positives and unnecessary recalls. Medical professionals and world health statistics have always noted that upon early diagnosis before the cancer has spread to the lymph nodes, the survival rate is almost 100 percent within five years. Because almost 1 out of every 8 women in the population has a probability of being diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, it is imperative to have a timely and accurate screening to help improve the outcomes.

Dr. Hardik Ajmera, Medical Director, Saifee Hospital, said, The addition of Genius™ 3D Mammography strengthens our preventive oncology services. Early detection saves lives, and this advanced system empowers both doctors and patients with precise information for timely decision-making.”

The new mammography service will be offered as an extension of the full service of the women’s health and cancer screening programs of Saifee Hospital, which is committed to being a reliable center of high-tech diagnostic and caring services.
