State-of-the-art ICU, fully air-conditioned female ward opens at Eastern Railway’s Workshop Hospital, Liluah
The ICU and female ward will add to the comprehensive medical services being provided to 6750 employees and their family members and also 7890 retired railway beneficiaries
Arun Arora, GM, Eastern Railway recently inaugurated a state-of-the-art ICU and fully air-conditioned female ward at Eastern Railway’s Workshop Hospital, Liluah. This will add to the comprehensive medical services being provided to 6750 employees and their family members and also 7890 retired railway beneficiaries. It caters not only to the employees and their families belonging to the workshop, but also to a large number of staff and families working under the Howrah and Sealdah division and Metro Railways. The hospital was earlier declared a dedicated covid hospital and rendered peerless service in treating covid patients during the pandemic situation.
The entire modernisation work has been undertaken tirelessly under the inspiring supervision of Sumit Narula, Chief Works Manager/Liluah and Chief Medical Superintendent, Dr Subhankar Home.
The newly inaugurated ICU and female ward will be extremely beneficial for the railway beneficiaries which in turn will decrease the burden of referral from Liluah to higher centres like BR Singh Hospital, Sealdah and Divisional Railway Hospital, Howrah. This will be highly beneficial for the immediate treatment of employees in industry-related health hazards like injuries, respiratory diseases etc.
