Sun Pharmaceutical Industries has agreed to acquire 100% of Innovcare Lifesciences in an all-cash deal worth about Rs 271.2 crore, strengthening its push into India’s fast-growing nutraceutical and consumer healthcare market. The transaction is expected to close on or before July 31, 2026.
The move is being described by Sun Pharma as a strategic investment to broaden its OTC, nutraceutical and cosmeceutical offerings. Innovcare Lifesciences is engaged in the marketing, distribution and sale of pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and cosmeceutical products, making it a fit for Sun Pharma’s expanding consumer health portfolio.
The acquisition is expected to give Sun Pharma full ownership and control of Innovcare once completed. According to the company disclosures, no government or regulatory approvals are required for the deal to go through.
