Sagar Hospitals showcases India’s telemedicine potential at 13th Meditex Bangladesh 2022 International Expo

Sagar Hospitals showcases India’s telemedicine potential at 13th Meditex Bangladesh 2022 International Expo

At the three-day expo, Sagar Hospitals shed light on the state-of-the-art healthcare infrastructure and facilities available in India Bengaluru-based Sagar Hospitals took part in the 13th Meditex Bangladesh 2022 International Expo, which was held in Dhaka. The expo, which witnessed participation from buyers, sellers, and other stakeholders of the global medical community, gathered at the International Convention City Bashundhara to discuss the trends and opportunities in the field of medicine. At the three-day expo, Sagar Hospitals shed light on the state-of-the-art healthcare infrastructure and facilities available in India. This quaternary care, the super-speciality hospital is renowned for providing medical treatment in areas like cardiology, neurology, orthopaedics, urology, nephrology and gastroenterology etc., drawing attention to the potential of telemedicine. Sagar Hospitals has expanded its telehealth options, particularly in light of the pandemic. The hospital demonstrated the benefits of telemedicine at the expo by taking up video and phone appointments with patients. The virtual visits provided comfort and convenience both to the patient and the doctor. While the patient can see the doctor from the comfort of their own home, virtual visits can be easier for doctors to fit into their busy schedule. “We at Sagar Hospitals were proud to display India’s technological prowess in the field of medicine. A lot has changed post-COVID-19. During these times of uncertainty, patients could benefit greatly from digital consultation and clinics. Different departments could share their expertise with a single patient through smart technologies. We did just that at 13th Meditex Bangladesh 2022 International Expo. Although telemedicine can never replace face-to-face interactions with doctors, we at Sagar Hospitals are using a hybrid model by blending the best of digital and physical interactions with our specialists. With such state-of-the-art facilities, we were also able to promote India as the key destination for medical tourism,” said Ishiqa Multani, Président, Sagar Group of Hospitals.
