Dr Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital together with Standard Chartered is organising India’s first International Optometry and Vision Science Conference, ‘OptoExcellence’, on December 23 and 24, 2023 at India International Centre, New Delhi.
The event will bring together eminent international and national speakers from the field of optometry fostering impactful discussions around the innovative and dynamic strides being made in the field. Curated around the theme, ‘Innovate, Educate and Transform’, the primary objective of the conference is to build synergies between participants through the fruitful exchange of information about emerging trends, best practices, and research outcomes.
The conference will consist of seven workshops, panel discussions and presentations covering a wide spectrum of topics ranging from clinical optometry and ocular diagnostics to novel approaches in vision enhancement and rehabilitation. It will also serve as a platform for students, young practitioners, clinicians, and researchers to meet and interact with eminent international and national speakers in the field of optometry and understand how the role of an optometrist has evolved to involve training, community public health services, teleophthalmology, myopia management, advanced eye care diagnostics, contact lens dispensing, eye banking services, ocular prosthesis, triaging.
