Narayana Health bags IRDAI nod to launch health insurance biz
Post the approval, the number of Standalone Health Insurance Companies (SAHI) will rise to six from the existing five
Narayana Health received approval from the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) to launch a health insurance business in India.
The company runs one of the largest hospital chains under the brand name of Narayana Hospital.
According to IRDAI, at its recently held 124th meeting, a Certificate of Registration to a new health insurer namely, Narayana Health Insurance Limited to carry health insurance business in India after a hiatus of 5 years.
Post the approval, the number of Standalone Health Insurance Companies (SAHI) will rise to six from the existing five.
