Nightingales and Cloudphysician launch Intensive Care at Home services

Nightingales and Cloudphysician launch Intensive Care at Home services

The service will be delivered through a comprehensive multidisciplinary team effort led by Cleveland Clinic trained intensivists Nightingales in association with Cloudphysician has launched first-of-its-kind Intensive Care at Home services to provide intensive care services to critically ill patients in the comfort of their home. The service has currently been introduced in Bengaluru and Mumbai.  The Intensive Care at Home service will be delivered through a comprehensive multidisciplinary team effort led by Cleveland Clinic trained intensivists and an on-site team of experienced clinicians, nurses, and physiotherapists. This offering will benefit a large spectrum of patients in several clinical categories including neurology, oncology, pulmonology, and orthopaedics who continue to remain admitted in hospitals because they need continuity of clinical services which hitherto was not available in the comfort of their own homes.  The much-needed service of Intensive Care at Home is being collectively provided by teams which have many years of rich experience – Cloudphysician has provided remote health management by experienced intensivists to over 15,000 critically ill patients over the past three years and Nightingales has delivered 20,000+ continuous nursing care services to patients at home. Nightingales-Cloudphysician combine follows an integrated approach that starts with clinical and home site assessment followed by a detailed care plan drawn up by senior intensive care specialists and the patient’s treating doctor. Based on the patient's medical requirements, a complete intensive care setup along with medical equipment and consumables is implemented. Once the setup is complete, the patient is regularly monitored by a multi-disciplinary team of doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, caregivers, and speech therapists. A trained and experienced bedside nurse will constantly monitor the patient 24x7. Also, there will be round-the-clock intervention by intensive care specialists. Commenting on the launch, Dr Sweta Choudhary, Head - Medical Products & Services at Nightingales, says “Implementing ICU level care at home requires deep clinical experience coupled with an understanding of exceptional standards of care. As pioneers in-home healthcare, we understand the high-quality medical care that is needed by critically ill patients. With a multidisciplinary team of experts, including certified intensivists, the Nightingales-Cloudphysician combine will offer hospital-like care at home. This solution will help patients reduce their hospitalisation days as their care process can now transition from the hospital and be supported at their home.”  Talking about the partnership, Dr Dileep Raman, MD, Co-founder, Cloudphysician Healthcare said, “We are delighted to partner with Nightingales to create a distinctive Intensive Care at Home offering. This is an ideal extension of our remote critical care expertise through which we have managed thousands of patients across several hundred ICU beds across India. We believe this is exceptional care that patients can receive at their home, similar to those in the US and Europe. “
