Thumbay Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Switzerland’s Geneva College of Longevity Science (GCLS), becoming the first private medical university in the UAE to introduce structured academic programmes in Longevity Medicine, Healthy Ageing, Preventive Healthcare and Precision Health through the newly established Thumbay Institute of Longevity Medicine. The initiative supports the UAE’s ambition to emerge as a global hub for advanced healthcare, preventive medicine and medical innovation, while positioning the UAE and wider GCC region as emerging leaders in longevity science.
Under the collaboration, the Thumbay Institute of Longevity Medicine will launch six internationally developed professional certificate programmes in academic partnership with GCLS, delivered in a hybrid format over three months with an initial intake of around 100 participants per programme. The courses include the Thumbay Professional Certificate in Clinical Longevity Medicine, Longevity Physiotherapy, Longevity Nutrition, Longevity Fitness, Peptide Medicine and Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare, reflecting the breadth of skills required for next-generation, prevention-focused care.
The partnership builds on findings from GCLS’s 2026 Global Longevity Physician Survey, which reported rising worldwide demand for longevity medicine: 99% of longevity physicians noted growing patient interest, with 44% seeing demand rise by more than 50% in just three years. The survey also found that 83% of respondents expect healthcare to shift decisively toward prevention, while 76% believe major lifespan extension could become realistic within the next 20 years, underscoring the urgency of formal education and training in the field.

The MoU outlines a phased collaboration starting with education and professional development, with the scope to expand into co-branded conferences, workshops, symposiums and other joint activities as the partnership evolves. All programmes will be fully compliant with relevant health authorities.
