Valuepoint Systems, GoK, to network 47 hospitals on One Common Platform

Government of Karnataka has partnered with the Valuepoint Systems, one of South Asia’s leading Systems Integrator and complete IT infrastructure services company, to implement one-of-its-kind prestigious e-hospital project. The state-wide project used technology to enable Hospital Information System in 47 primary healthcare centres in Karnataka state.

List of 47 healthcare centres (Government Hospitals): Kolar, KGF, Madikeri, Malur, Sakaleshpura, Yadgir, Tumkur, Chikaballapur, Bijapur, Ramnagar, Srinivaspura, Davanagere, Sagara, Mangalore (Wenlock + Lady Goshan), Udupi, Haveri, Jamkandi, Maddur, Bangalore (HIS Gosha + CV Raman Hospital), Koppala, Shahapur, Muddebihal, Hunagunda, Kollegala, Sira, Mudhola, Kadur, Gundlupet, Kundapura, Shorapur, Dharwad, Bagalkote, Chikkamangalore, Yellandur, Chitradurga, Mulbagal, Badami, T Narasipura, Karkala, Gadag, Bilagi, Karwar, Chamrajnagar, Kalburgi & Bangarpet.

The prime objective of the project was to implement one-stop solution for addressing the healthcare concerns, and connecting patients, doctors and networking 47 hospitals in Karnataka on one common platform. The initiative aimed to deploy the solution and get patient information seamlessly in these hospitals and streamline hospital processes. The duration of the project was 6 months and commenced in September 2017 and Valuepoint Systems has done a due diligence and designed, supplied, commissioned and supporting platform along with network and infrastructure components.

The project has transformed the existing systems by making the patients records and information available at all the 47 centres and accessible to patients and doctors 24/7. The digital platform has allowed the tracking and monitoring of the utilization of funds and has enabled BPL patients to directly receive the government benefits. This has helped in increasing the overall quality of healthcare services.

Commenting on this project an official concerned in the Department of Health & Family Welfare said, “Our aim has always been to work for the betterment of the citizens of Karnataka and India. We are glad to have worked with Valuepoint Systems for further developing the healthcare facilities in the state.”
