Nurses will be able to share innovative ideas that enhance patient care, improve experiences, and reduce healthcare costs
Wockhardt Hospitals launched 'My Patient, My Idea'—a first-of-its-kind initiative aimed at empowering nurses to share innovative ideas that enhance patient care, improve experiences, and reduce healthcare costs.
Recognising nurses as frontline problem solvers, the initiative echoes the 2025 International Nurses Day theme, “Caring for Nurses, Strengthening Economies.” It provides a platform to acknowledge and reward the creativity, insight, and dedication of nursing professionals,
reinforcing their pivotal role in driving meaningful change within healthcare systems.
More than 950 nurses participated in the week-long festivities, which included meaningful ceremonies and vibrant activities designed to honor and uplift the nursing community. The celebration began with nurses uniting to sing the Wockhardt Anthem and recite the Nursing Pledge, reinforcing their shared mission of patient care. A special tribute was paid to nursing leaders, recognising their tireless service and leadership.
The events also featured creative competitions such as poster drawing, singing, and talent showcases, offering nurses a platform to express themselves beyond their professional roles.
Zahabiya Khorakiwala, MD, Wockhardt Hospitals, emphasised “Investing in the professional development and well-being of nurses is paramount to ensuring quality patient care. At Wockhardt, we provide ongoing training, mentorship, and educational support to empower nurses in their careers. Equally, we prioritise the wellness of our nurses with initiatives like mental health support, wellness days, and programs that promote work-life balance.”
Dr Parag Rindani, CEO, Wockhardt Hospitals, said, "Our nurses are the backbone of our healthcare delivery. Their resilience and compassion—especially in challenging times—are truly commendable. Wockhardt is proud to cultivate an environment that supports their growth and acknowledges their invaluable contributions.”
